The Naval Farthings are an interesting series that have yet to be fully sorted. It's possible that they were produced at one location but perhaps as many as three different manufacturers had a hand in them. D&H missed a few and misdiagnosed others. For example, they stated that the reverse of Hamps 104 was the same as that used on Hamps 97. It is not; it's a separate die altogether. Other misattributions have led to additional confusion, especially as related to die links to both Skidmore and Spence.
In any case, this specimen is a lovely example exhibiting the typical obverse flaw. Unlisted by Conder and Pye and rather rare.
