Edge of coat in a line with second limb of R of WORKS, and last button over space between R and K. Rev A female seated with right hand upon a screw and left hand upon a cogwheel. MACCLESFIELD HALFPENNY above, 1792 below. Head of the figure below the space between MACCLESFIELD and HALFPENNY. Six spokes to cogwheel. The top bar of the windlass points to the second limb of the second N of HALFPENNY, the lower bar extends below the period. From an early of the reverse die and quite scarce thus. A bit of ancient lacquered a small rim nick below the date, otherwise choice uncirculated.
